Cats and Mice and Bats oh my

I have been drawing a lot of cats lately.

I only have one to show but cats were a thing for a few weeks.

Although you can't see it all that well, the gold was done in a gold marker and it's pretty shiny. I couldn't get a picture to show it off but trust me it's shiny and it's awesome.

Also a bat in puffy pants!

The year of children's books

Starting next month, I have things planned to work on stories! Last year was comics and this year is Children's stories which will hopefully end in at least the Halloween story I will have up on Halloween! Yay! But between then and now, lots of the little things!

Character studies, portfolio updates, maybe even some test pages!

Should be a lot of fun this year!

I will posting a lot of before sketches and studies and all that fun jazz to keep this blog going so it'll probably be updated every other week as this year goes.

I'll probably update links too.

But for the time being has a little character from the first story I am focusing on!

Mice for everything

Sorry it's been a bit...a long bit but I haven't really been on the computer much the last month or 2.

But a few weeks ago I was in a Children's book workshop and it was probably the best idea to flesh out one of my little stories

ABOUT MICE yay.

So here are some of the things I drew. All in pen. All for the same story:

I should be working on more this tuesday since a friend of mine is making mice dolls and I wanna play around with different armor ideas.

Drew this while in line waiting to met Terry Pratchett at NYCC.

Did a quick inking thing to play around with coloring.

I still haven't decided on her name or even how I want David's outfit. Even her outfit colors will change around until I choose.

Also writing a short Halloween story about a vampire.

So look out for that short in two weeks!

Mine~

From the same project that the Unnamed Ghost girl is from.

This actually being her brother, who has a name and his name is David. 

He's still in the design works but I like his "wolf" mode.

He really just wants everything to be his.

He's gonna have teeth like a Anglerfish! Cause I can and that makes him a bit more scary.

...at least to me.

Merida

Tried my hand at a modern day Merida (From the Pixar movie Brave) who is pretty much wearing the same school uniform I wore in grade-school. Including the ugly yellow shirt. 

Done in ballpoint pen and ink on Moleskine.
