Painting

Hi it's been awhile. 

Been playing around with different ideas and painting:

Trying to figure out the best colors for ghosts when painting and so far I like this version. The other two paintings didn't come out like I hoped but I need to learn when to stop adding paint.

Meet the General

I haven't really decided on his colors yet but I need him to be more 1960s because he's from the 60s.

I have a short "before main story" story that explains a few little things and will get me to figure out the best way to draw this thing. Since I can't decide between digital or traditional. Might just end up being both actually.

Also met Crowley my ball python:

He's my little boy.

Playing around with photoshop brushes.

Not sure if I drew him too big or I don't have big enough paper to draw him for the lineup. I think it's the don't have big enough paper because this dude is HUGE compared to everyone else, but it was good practice.

Lineup: Sketches

I think I stated this before how I wanted to make a line up of characters and I finally started!

I have about 4-5 more to do, but I'll only show these 3 for the process.

Am, Mitch, and David in their usual clothes.

I'll have the lineart done in a couple of days.

Costumes

I have been busy busy with getting a job the last two weeks.

So I will be busy busy all summer if this summer goes how I think it will.

BUT

I will still be working on this story because I have finally figured out the best ending for it!

So I will mostly be writing all summer with a few drafts and color samples.

Also Conventions. I am hoping to be at least two this year.

I'll try and update every other week with something.

TinTin

Finally watched that TinTin movie and I liked it.

Quite a bit.

I watched it twice back to back.

I don't want to give it back to the library.

From stories of old

Drawing mice have become my calming method so that's what I have been doing:

Kind of based off Rapunzel. Not really sure though.

The song's 'But not for me.' 

Don't really have a version in mind but I like the Kids on the Slope version.

Maybe I should make a band of mice. Would be good to draw some instruments. 

Just random. Nothing really in mind for these two.

Working Mice

I don't really have anything for Valentines Day so have a drawing of mice sewing that I drew at the library today on V-Day.

I'm thinking of inking this later.

All I draw is mice and hair so drawing out some possibly storylines of The Girl in the Drawing is good for a quick lose exercise.

Ghost can't really cry so I have to make it look like she is without the tears.

Happy Accident

Don't you just love happy accidents?

Since everything I do right now is all mice, I try not to do much of anything else until I have this mouse project done. Of course I do a few things here and there because I need to test out things so I was playing with what colors I should use for David.

Didn't turn out too bad.

Now excuse me. I have a few things to work out.

But before that!!

There's a chance I will be turning to get a table at cons with friends.

I'll tell ya if anything works out.

Hourly comics 2013

This is the first year I got the date for the hourlies before the date and remembered! YAY!

The internet. The internet is why I am drawing cats.

And then I went to bed.

Hi ya!

Computer's alright, but not much to say after that. 

Got a lot to do and I need to stop slacking.

Haven't really drawn Am in a while (okay that's a lie, but I drew her in a way that if the story was horror-ish. It doesn't count.)

Been working on another project so her story has been pushed aside.

And since not too much will be shown have a little practice comic I'm playing with because I got my watercolor brush. Based off the project I'm working on for the next few months.

Hair

I like drawing hair and I got a watercolor brush thing.

Used ink.

And had fun.

While my computer's in the shop, I'll be doing more traditional so there might be more inking things like this in the next coming week.

Crowning the Mouse King

It's 2013! A new year! Year of the snake too!

But yes, yes, time to draw mice.

Actually done ink pencil and ink first:

Then played around with random brushes in photoshop.

I still need to play around with the background but I like it so far.
